As a kick off to raise funds for the tour in Chile, and fill those long summer months normally only punctuated by weddings and trips to B & Q, many players, former players and friends of the club gathered at Thames Ditton and Esher golf club to play a cheeky round. As well as the Stableford contest there was also nearest the pin and longest drive contests. All to play for it would seem...

SUBS AND MATCH FEES AND THE 2010/2011 SEASON |

These have now been finalised for the 2010/2011 season. Payment can be made via:
- Paypal -
Please click here to pay via Paypal
- Internet banking - please ask your captain for the internet banking details.
- Cash/cheque - on the day of the trials to your captain (Saturday 4th Sept 2010)
Details of the varying payment amounts is as below.
SUBS
- £60 annual subscription for players if paid before 1st October 2010
- £70 annual subs for players thereafter
MATCH FEES
- £5 per game if paid subs
- £10 per game if not paid subs
SUBS/MATCH FEES COMBINATION PAYMENT
- £150 all in if paid before 1st October 2010
- £175 all in if paid thereafter
START OF SEASON
- September 4th – BBQ day at the club. Current plan is internal trial games at 1pm followed by the 1st XV fixture vs Old Actonians at 3pm. Let your captain know your availability so that we can buy enough burgers!
- September 11th - 1st XV league campaign kicks off at home vs London Exiles. Friendlies for the 2s, 3s and 4s
- September 18th - 1st XV continue league campaign. Friendlies for the 2s, 3s and 4s
- September 25th - 1st XV continue league campaign. 2s, 3s and 4s kick off league campaigns
- October 2nd - The mighty B XV kick off their league campaign

OPFC Golf Day - Saturday 21st August 2010
The OPFC Tour Committee would like to invite you to help raise funds for our forthcoming tour to Chile in 2011 - by testing your golfing skills!
A competition over 18 holes will be followed by a BBQ (likely at Marneys pub in Weston Green) and post match drinks with prizes from "Nearest the Pin" to "Best Dressed" and will be sure to be a fantastic afternoon/evenings entertainment, all for the bargain sum of £25!!
Please invite friends and family - no handicap required.

Approx cost is expected to be around £900 depending on degree of subsidy / sponsorship we can pull together. We are asking people to commit to paying £925 over a period up to the end of March 2010.

The itinerary is taking shape, as below.
- Thurs 28th April – Depart from London Heathrow around 6.00pm for flight via Madrid to Santiago
- Friday 29th April - Arrive Santiago early morning - proceed to hotel. Rest of Friday free but could arrange City tour if required. Likelihood of a bar visit in the evening.....
- Sat 30th April - Sighteeing - options include local Winery tour or trip to coast (Valparaiso/Vina etc)
- Sunday 1st May – 1st match, Match - either at Prince of Wales Country Club or Old Grangonians (tbc)
- Monday 2nd May – Coach trip to Mendoza (6 hours) - evening in Mendoza, Argentina
- Tues 3rd May - 2nd Match in Mendoza - opposition tbc
- Wed 4th May – Daytime - Wine tour in Mendoza. Evening (c 5.00pm) fly from Mendoza to Calama via Santiago and on to San Pedro
- Thurs 5th May & Friday 6th May - In San Pedro area (Atacama Desert) - options include visit to Salt Fields, Dunes, Altiplanico lakes with option of Sand Surfing. Friday pm return to Santiago
- Sat 7th May – In Santiago - options include what we didn't do on 30th April - also Golf etc and involvement in some charitable projects
- Sunday 8th May – Final tour match at Old Grangonians - possibility of small (3 or 4 team) tournament. End of tour party
- Monday 9th May - Evening departure from Santiago via Madrid to London, arriving at Heathrow on afternoon of Tuesday 10th May

Summer Training 2010 |
|
Training for the 20010-2011 season is all set to start very soon.
Training will begin on Wednesday 7th July at 7pm on the pitch 10 (Hammersmith bridge side pitches) at St Paul's School, Lonsdale Road, London SW13 9JT.
NB previous years have been on the 1st XV pitch, but not this time as it is being reseeded.
No studs or mouldies please, only trainers to start with.
During July training will be on Wednesdays. During August training will be on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Please get involved. The whole club is encouraged to attend—it is not purely for the 1st XV.
Feel free to bring any friends along too
